The Society of Neurocritical Care (SNCC) was established in 2018 as a non-profit professional organization comprising neurointensivists, neuroanesthetists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals. The Society was founded with the mission of standardizing and disseminating the principles of Neurocritical Care across India.
The primary objectives of SNCC are to promote awareness, foster continuing medical education, and encourage research in the field of neurosciences, with a particular focus on Neurocritical Care. Recognizing India’s vast diversity in patient populations, healthcare resources, and clinical practices, SNCC brings together eminent neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other specialists from leading neurocritical care centers across the country. These experts contribute their extensive and diverse experience to advance Neurocritical Care as a specialized discipline.
The guiding motto of SNCC is to deliver the highest standards of neurocritical care with the goal of improving patient outcomes. The Society is committed to developing evidence-based guidelines and providing educational resources, not only for dedicated Neurocritical Care Units but also for general critical care units where neurological and neurosurgical patients may be managed.
SNCC continues to make sustained efforts toward formulating practice guidelines, strengthening education and training, and promoting high-quality research in neurosciences.
The Society gratefully acknowledges the Neurocritical Care Society (NCS) for its continued support in the development of this subspecialty in India and for recognizing SNCC as its Global Partner.
